Helen is a highly motivated FD with a depth of experience and has been an instrumental part of leadership teams giving crucial strategic advice and reports to the managing partners, and board members. Advising on matters from new business ventures, to business optimisation and cashflow.
Prior to joining the FD Centre she headed up the Finance department of a complex financial services organisation with multiple entities crossing many countries and dealt with a vast range of issues. These included consolidations, currency issues, tax and compliance, acquisitions and disposals, and at a detailed level this involved setting up processes, costs controls and implementing systems.
She has spent the last 14 years working in the financial services sector for a variety of regulated brokerage firms, but started her career in the retail sector for Dixons where she worked her way up through the graduate program.
Helen has a passion for the role technology can play in improving business processes and has implemented various system from design to testing, procedures and control. Recently designing and building a suite of reports from a client’s accounting package, automating and taking processes away from Excel.
She believes in the power of information and communication, how it can be delivered in the most efficient and accurate way to enable great decision making.
She is a natural problem solver and happy to work across the organisation at all levels. She brings a professional and understanding manor to organisations she works for, which makes her a trusted advisor to the business.
Helen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a BSC in Chemistry from Leeds University
In Helens spare time she loves tending to her small holding, travelling to unusual countries, as well as getting out and about in the British countryside with her family.
