Graham is a very experienced international Chief Financial Officer with an excellent track record of creating shareholder value. He is a highly commercial finance director who built his core skills based on outstanding analytical, business and strategic planning competencies.
He is also a professionally qualified marketing professional who fully understands the challenges facing an SME based on his own experience in starting and growing his own business. Combined with his entrepreneurial skills this means he can effectively partner with senior managers and add real value to their total business decision making. Offering a vast range of different sector experience covering charity, health-care, education, property, technology, financial services, leisure retailing and manufacturing.
His early career experience was gained in world class companies including Ford of Europe, Rockwell international, Grand Met and American Express where he held senior Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer positions. He has many years of extensive international experience. He has led finance functions in Europe, Middle East, Latin America and the United States of America. This hands on international experience means he can immediately add value to companies looking to grow and develop their businesses internationally.
He has extensive deal making experience. While in America he led the IPO process and eventual private sale of Sylvan Prometric, a computer based testing business in Baltimore. He has led the acquisition and sale of a number of small businesses and most recently put together a deal in China to build a UK boarding school. He is a very experienced people manager who has managed change by leading, building and upgrading large finance teams across the world. His excellent leadership, mentoring and relationship skills mean he can add value to businesses who are wishing to improve the effectiveness or drive change through their finance function.
Graham is married with three grown up children. He describes himself as a ‘sports nut’ with a particular passion for cricket, rugby, soccer and American football.
