James Nicholson-Smith – Business Development Director & Managing Principal, West Midlands Region

James is an experienced and enthusiastic executive in both MD and FD roles. James has expertise particularly in turnarounds, start-ups, strategic reviews, investor relations, equity fund raising, capital restructuring and cost reduction programmes. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1993 James joined a FTSE 250 engineering company where he spent the next 7 years as Finance Director and Managing Director of £50m to £75m subsidiaries. Since 2000 James has worked in the SME sector in mature, growth and start-up companies both in the UK and Europe.
