Ian Watson - Managing Principal, Scotland

Ian graduated in Accountancy at Glasgow University and, after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Young in Glasgow, has spent his career in industry and commerce.  He has extensive experience as a finance and managing director in companies and UK groups within the telecoms, software, engineering, construction, manufacturing and education sectors.  His experience includes growing companies through internal growth and acquisitions, integration of acquired companies, re-structuring, funding negotiations, bank re-financing and turnarounds.  Ian also has been directly involved in several successful start-ups.

He gained his MBA from the Open University in 2001 specialising in business and financial strategy, marketing and knowledge management.
