Stuart Palmer, Principal - The West Country

Stuart qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Touche Ross (now Deloitte) in Bristol and followed that with 2 years as a manager in the Barbados office during which time he provided the full range of services to a very diverse client portfolio.

Returning to the UK 20 years ago he moved into industry and has been Finance Director in a variety of sectors including import/export trading, contracting and most latterly with an international building materials market leader. He has considerable "hands-on" experience of all aspects of the finance function including the implementation and development of management information systems, forecasting, budgeting, treasury, working capital management, strategy, performance improvement, property, company secretarial, and the upgrading of systems of internal control. He subscribes to the "business must be fun" approach and has strong team-building and recruitment skills.
