James Benson - National Principal, Capital Services & West Country Principal

James qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in London and has over 25 years of experience in a variety of senior operational and finance director roles in quoted and private companies mainly in the IT, FMCG, manufacturing and distribution sectors in the UK and overseas.

He has considerable hands-on experience in financial control and reporting systems, budgeting and forecasting, performance improvement, strategy and business planning, acquisitions and disposals and fundraising.

In the last few years he has worked with a number of companies preparing the business for flotation and fundraising on the AIM market.
