Steve Wilden – Principal, Thames Valley

Steve is a very commercial Chartered Accountant whose experience covers many industry sectors including property, recruitment, manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, chemicals, textiles, retail and distribution.

After qualifying with Josolyne Layton Bennet & Co, Steve’s wide ranging experience in several Blue Chip companies included subsidiary FD roles and secondments to the USA and Italy. As an Interim Executive, Steve carried out several assignments in turnaround and growth situations, before becoming FD of an AIM listed client. Steve oversaw and developed the finance function of this healthcare and recruitment plc which grew from £10m to £120m turnover during his 3 year tenure. He played a key role in its acquisition strategy and move to a full public listing.

In subsequent roles, his experience of fund raising includes 2 AIM floats, one as FD and one as CEO, and negotiation of various bank finance facilities as well as venture capital finance.

Steve is very “hands on” and has extensive experience of producing business plans and financial projections as well as devising user friendly management reporting systems. Throughout his career he has successfully built, motivated and mentored many financial management teams, and enjoyed excellent relationships with a wide variety of executives and entrepreneurs.
