James Cook – Principal, South East

James Cook is a versatile Chartered Accountant with significant financial and general management experience in a wide range of businesses including food manufacturing and distribution services, multi site retailing, b2b database and consumer publishing and healthcare. He has operated at PLC main board level in multi-national companies, and as owner/founder in smaller enterprises.

With proven expertise in building and developing businesses, he has advised new and established businesses on all aspects of business practice and governance.  He is an experienced negotiator, with extensive M&A experience of concluding acquisitions and disposals. He is used to establishing good working relationships with bankers, brokers, legal and other professional advisers.

He has built companies from scratch including formation, initial funding, management and operational structures and has introduced and developed accounting and management information systems to enable rigorous P&L, cash and forecasting disciplines to become standard practice.
